Aim High in the Annie Vest

Our latest hotshot style, the Annie Vest, is inspired by one of our favorite wild, wild West trailblazers: Annie Oakley! Inspired by Annie’s shooting skills and singular style, go behind the seams with Kristin Titov as she explains the making of the Annie Vest.

We wanted a basic, but not too basic vest that would be really versatile! The solid color makes it easy to coordinate with and the western patterned matte sequins give it a touch of glam without being over the top. Pair the Vest with the Solstice Blouse and Ultrasuede Fringed Show Chaps for a subtly fabulous look.

This vest was named after one of our favorite historical figures and famous cowgirls, Annie Oakley. She was a trailblazer excelling in a sport dominated by men. But she was also a fashion trailblazer too! She made her own clothing and opted for shorter skirts with tights to cover her legs. Ladylike modesty, but in a fashionable and more functional way!
