Last week our CEO did a Live Try-On event on our Facebook & Instagram (she does a Live every other week on Fridays at 10am Pacific) where she tried on the new line of Ranch Girl’s outerwear. But, do you know the story of how Hobby Horse came to carry Ranch Girls in the first place?
Our CEO, Kristin, had seen the Ranch Girl’s sweatshirts at horse shows for a while. And they caught her eye; first the sparkles and then the quality and thoughtful details. Each time she’d see their booth she couldn’t help but stop in a touch all the wonderful garments. Then this year at the Cactus Reining Classic (she was completing in the Super Ranch Horse event) she just had to stop in the booth again. But this time she saw a sweatshirt that she nearly couldn’t resist. She tried it on and loved it, but ultimately decided to refrain from spending the money. But waking up in the middle of the night that night the sweatshirt came to mind and she knew she just had to have it and placed the order on their website right then.
The next day while working in her home office there was a knock at the front door. It was with Sarah from Ranch Girl’s hand delivering the item Kristin had ordered that night! They got to talking and had so much in common! It’s seemed like Ranch Girl’s and Hobby Horse were so beautifully aligned in so many ways! Both are family/female owned small business that focus on women of all ages that love the western lifestyle, at horse shows and beyond! And both love a sparkle! Sarah mentioned that her current goal was to build brand recognition. Kristin immediate thought that Hobby Horse could help with that! So they exchanged numbers with a promise to connect to discuss the possibility to working together to the benefit of both businesses.
